Deerstalker 2010

29 October 2009

Deerstalkers!

There is nowhere to hide. The Mighty Deerstalker is back! The most ridiculous event of them all returns with a vengeance on 20th March 2010 at glorious Traquair House, near Peebles, and we hope you’ll join us as spring stirs crisp and quirky in the beautiful Scottish Borders. If you have already taken part, you know the drill. Tweed, mud, japes, obstacles, an impossibly steep mountain, forests, river crossings, feats of incredible daring-do and afterwards…a healthy dollop of oblivion partying to boot.

If you are a rookie and have heard of the legend of The Mighty Deerstalker, now’s the time to grow antlers and front up to the big, bad and just-a-little-bit-surreal trail run with bite. Click here to enter.

The Mighty Deerstalker loves the Tweed

9 April 2009

Hello Stalkers!

The Mightiest Romp in the land has been and gone, and we are sad. We already miss the tremendous camaraderie and flamboyancy of Deerstalker. What a fantastic gathering of Lairds and Lasses; resplendent in your best Tweed n’ trainers, you ably conquered one of the toughest challenges in the UK. Roll on the next event in 2010 we say, and when we open entries in October, expect to be part of an even bigger crowd at Traquair House the following spring.

Hello Deerstalkers!

Well, we said it would be busy - It’s sold out! Deerstalker is now officially the biggest baddest bash on the Tweediest side of the Border.

Soon, you will be stood amongst intrepid Stalkers, brandishing various garb, finely fettled footwear, and if you are destined for the “Mighty,” you will be one of 1,000 twinkling headtorches who will light the sky and entertain the residents of Innerleithen and Traquair (peering from their windows and streets in wonder) as you ascend the scree ladder and descend the slippery ridge of Rocky, back towards the finish line, after an evening of derring-do.
